The American Association of Woodturners is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the art and craft of woodturning worldwide through education. Sawdust Studios, the only community woodworking shop in the Columbia area, offers classes, memberships, apprenticeship, or one-on-one instruction. The 7000-square-foot facility has professional grade power tools, hand tools, and other necessities to offer members. Both a woodshop and educational cooperative, everyone is welcome, regardless of their experience in woodworking.
